Dual Monitor Desk Mount (STAND-V002)

The VIVO STAND-V002 is the most basic mount in our lineup, and it’s the honest answer to “what do you give up at the very bottom of the price range?” It’s a steel dual pole-mount — two arms on a central post — that holds two screens up to 30″ and 22 pounds each for a rock-bottom price. But it trades away the thing that defines a good monitor arm: smooth, spring-counterbalanced full motion. Height is a manual loosen-slide-and-tighten on the pole rather than a fingertip glide, and that more rudimentary mechanism — plus a center post that flexes more than a desk-anchored arm — lands it three amber sub-scores and our only amber overall score. It’s genuinely fine for two light secondary screens you set once and rarely touch. But for a primary dual workspace, the arms above it are worth the modest step up. It ranks #12.

Stability & Build

6.5 / 10 25% weighting

The STAND-V002 is built from high-grade steel, so the raw materials are durable — it won’t snap or degrade like the flimsiest mounts. But its pole-mount architecture is the least stable design in our lineup. Both screens hang off arms attached to a single central post, and that post flexes and can wobble more than a desk-clamped articulating arm, especially with two larger monitors or when you bump the desk. Owners report it holds fine once set, but it doesn’t have the planted solidity of even the better budget arms.

This is its lowest score at 6.5, and the single biggest reason the V002 lands in amber overall. The steel keeps it from scoring worse — it’s sturdy in the sense of being hard to break — but in the category that we weight most heavily, the basic pole design simply can’t match a properly counterbalanced, desk-anchored arm. It’s the honest trade at this price and mechanism.

Bottom line on stability: Durable steel, but the single-pole design flexes and wobbles more than a desk-clamped arm — the weakest stability in our lineup and the main reason for the amber overall.

Adjustability & Range of Motion

7.0 / 10 20% weighting

On paper the V002 has the movements: each screen tilts up to ±90°, swivels 180°, and rotates 360° into portrait, and the VESA plates adjust half an inch for fine alignment between the two monitors. For setting two screens to a fixed, comfortable position, it does the job.

It earns an amber 7.0 because of how it adjusts. Height is set by loosening a knob, sliding the arm up or down the center pole, and re-tightening — not the effortless, stay-where-you-leave-it glide of a gas-spring or Constant-Force arm. There’s no counterbalanced lift at all. In day-to-day use that means the V002 is something you set once and leave, rather than an arm you nudge throughout the day. The arms also have less independent reach than spring arms. It’s functional motion, but it’s the most basic in the category — and that’s precisely the line between this mount and the full-motion arms above it.

Bottom line on motion: All the angles are there, but height is a manual slide-and-clamp with no spring counterbalance — a set-and-leave mount rather than a nudge-anytime arm.

Capacity & Size Support

7.5 / 10 20% weighting

Capacity is actually one of the V002’s better categories. Each arm holds up to 22 pounds and a display from 13″ to 30″, on standard 75×75 or 100×100 mm VESA. That 22-pound per-arm rating is solid for a budget dual — notably higher than the premium Ergotron LX Dual’s 20 pounds — so it comfortably handles two standard 24″ or 27″ monitors, the typical dual setup.

It earns a green 7.5 here, a bright spot on the card. The only real limit is the 30″ screen ceiling, which is lower than the HUANUO Dual’s 40″ and rules out larger ultrawides. But for two ordinary monitors — exactly what most dual-screen buyers run — the V002 has the weight and size capacity covered. Capacity isn’t where this mount falls down; the mechanism and stability are.

Bottom line on capacity: A solid 22 lb per arm (more than the LX Dual) and up to 30″ — plenty for two standard monitors, just not for large ultrawides.

Installation & Mounting Versatility

7.5 / 10 15% weighting

The V002 includes both a C-clamp and a grommet mount, with a clamp that fits desktops up to about 3.25 inches thick, and its single pole means just one desk attachment point holds both screens. A handy detail is that each VESA plate adjusts up and down by half an inch, which makes it easy to line the two monitors up evenly — a real convenience on a dual setup. Setup is simple and the all-steel hardware feels secure once clamped.

It scores a green 7.5, matching the other budget arms here. The pole design is actually straightforward to assemble — arguably simpler than balancing two spring arms — and the alignment adjustment is a nice touch. The reasons it isn’t higher are the lighter-duty hardware and the lack of wall-mount or expansion options. For a basic dual install, though, it goes together easily.

Bottom line on installation: Easy single-pole setup with clamp and grommet included, plus half-inch VESA-plate alignment to level the two screens — a genuine convenience.

Cable Management

6.0 / 10 10% weighting

Cable management is the V002’s weakest category at 6.0 — the lowest cable score in our entire lineup. The mount offers only minimal cable accommodation: there’s little in the way of integrated channels or substantial clips, so on a two-monitor setup you’re largely left to manage four-plus cables yourself with aftermarket ties.

It’s an honest reflection of a bare-bones design. The cables won’t be neatly hidden or routed along the structure the way they are on the better arms, and a dual setup makes that more noticeable. For a mount destined for a secondary or utility setup it may not matter much, but if a clean, managed cable run is part of what you want, this is one more area where the V002 shows its rock-bottom price.

Bottom line on cables: Minimal cable management — the weakest in our lineup. Plan on aftermarket ties to tame a two-monitor cable bundle.

Value

9.0 / 10 10% weighting

Value is what keeps the V002 in the conversation, and it earns a 9.0. It is one of the cheapest ways to get two monitors off the desk, in durable all-steel, with a decent 22-pound-per-arm capacity and a 3-year warranty. For a secondary workstation, a utility setup, or a budget so tight that a full-motion dual arm is out of reach, it delivers the basic function — two screens, mounted, adjustable to a fixed position — for remarkably little.

But value has to be read against the whole card, and this is where the honest “why it’s last” verdict lands. For a relatively small step up in price, the HUANUO Dual (our #9) adds true gas-spring full motion, far more capacity (26.4 lb and 40″ per arm), and a USB hub — a dramatically better arm for not much more. And the Ergotron-built duals deliver buy-it-for-a-decade quality. The V002 is genuinely good value only if rock-bottom price is the priority and you’re mounting light screens you’ll rarely move; for an everyday dual workspace, the modest upgrade is well worth it. That gap is exactly why it sits at #12, our one amber-rated arm.

Bottom line on value: Cheap, steel, and functional for a set-and-forget secondary setup — but the HUANUO Dual’s full motion and far greater capacity are worth the small step up for any everyday dual workspace.
